Clarence Martin Heffel

Clarence Martin Heffel, age 82, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Liberty Manor in Adams, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Military honors will be presented by the Veterans Honor Guard of Adams County. Interment, following cremation, will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

Friends may call at Roseberrys Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00a.m.until the time of service.

Clarence was born August 22, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to George and Norma (Kuether) Heffel. He quit school early to get a job in order to support his mother. Clarence enlisted in the Army in 1945 serving 7 ½ years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and also spent time in Germany and Japan. Clarence was a hard worker, working at AO Smith as a welder for 27 years. He retired to Grand Marsh Wisconsin in 1989 to be close to his sister, Karen.

He enjoyed playing guitar, listening to Chet Atkins, Jonah Jones, and various Big Bands; he also was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing horses, loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman in his earlier days, he enjoyed watching movies and was very good at movie trivia. Clarence was also a huge football and Packer fan. 

Clarence was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Norma Heffel; and brother, Carl Heffel.
