Clifford Theodore Hanson

Clifford Theodore Hanson, age 79, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away on January 11, 2012 at the Rolling Hills Rehab-Special Care in Sparta, Wisconsin. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Interment will be at the East Arkdale Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Clifford was born January 27, 1932 in Arpin, Wisconsin to Theodore and Etola (Koplien) Hanson.

Cliff helped on the farm in Milladore, Wisconsin until he went in to the Army. He entered into the service on July 16, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He went to Nurenberg, Germany. He served in the 371st Armored Infantry and became a Corporal Medical Detachment on January 29, 1955. He was Honorably Discharged from the service on May 17, 1955 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. After serving he found a job in Port Edwards, Wisconsin. He worked out in the wood yard. When work slowed down he did carpenter work and factory work. Cliff met Sharon Frazier and soon they married. Their marriage gave them three daughters, Bonnie, Mary & Linda. He made the move to Wonder Lake & Libertyville, Illinois. Cliff and Sharon stayed over 30+ years. When Cliff retired they came to Wisconsin.

He loved collecting license plates and all the travels to find them.
He belonged to ALPCA, Dairyland & Australian clubs.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Tomah & Madison VA Hospitals. All of the Doctors & Nursing staff were wonderful. They give thanks to Villa Pines Nursing Home & to Rolling Hills and Hospice to ease Cliffs pain. Thank you to Pastor Terry Skildum for always being there when needed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore & Etola Hanson; brother, Roger Hanson; and sister, Joyce Dibble.
