Daniel Lee Gritzmacher

Daniel Lee Gritzmacher, age 60, of Arkdale, Wisconsin passed away suddenly on October 15, 2007 do to an auto accident.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Interment will be at the East Arkdale Cemetery, town of Strongs Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin. Military rites will be offered at the graveside service by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. on Saturday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Daniel was born June 3, 1947 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to LeRoy Daniel and Verla Lorene Gritzmacher. Daniel was a courageous Vietnam Vet who served two tours of duty from June of 1965 until June of 1969 earning two purple hearts while proudly serving his country. 

Preceded in death by his parents.

Nephew: Joshua Gritzmacher of Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Nephew: Casey Gritzmacher of Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Nephew: Lyle (Rachel) Gritzmacher of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin

    Danny was a great cousin. We share many memories while visiting our parents, during hunting, and other family gatherings. We kept in contact throught the years. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to all of his family.

    Danny had the courage of a lion, the soft heart of a teddy bear, and the voice of an angel. I will cherish all of the memories we share with our very close families as we grew throughout childhood and into adulthood. He died far too young.
