Diane J. Mattke

Diane J. Mattke, age 72, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away on May 29, 2012 at her home in Friendship.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Diane was born December 30, 1939 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Clarence and Sylvia (Kucera) Bitter.

She attended school in Milwaukee and furthered her career at Mt. Sinai Hospital as an L.P.N. in the nursery ward.

Diane married Kenneth “Tony” Mattke on March 3, 1962 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and later became homemaker to raise their three children Dawn, Shawn & Sherry.

In 1971 they relocated to East Troy and following Tony’s retirement in 1996 they moved to Friendship.

She loved to go shopping and enjoyed reading and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth “Tony” Mattke; father, Clarence Bitter & mother, Sylvia Kucera

Survivors include her daughter, Dawn (Bill) Shookman of North Carolina; son, Shawn Mattke of Stetsonville, Wisconsin;
daughter, Sherry (Pete) Grossman of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; grandchildren:  TJ, Joshua, Brandon and Aleiha; great-granddaughter, Madison.

    All of Mattke family it seems just yesterday I was emailing on Ken leaving us. Very sorry for your great lost. Have a lot of great thoughts from over the years from your folks. How happy and greatfull they were for all Sherry and Pete did for them.

    To the Mattke family, you have my deepest condolences at this difficult time. Hold all your memories close and know that mom and dad are together again and watching over all of you. They both can breath easier now and have no pain. I met them when they would come to the hospital for appt. and I had Ken in Pulmonary rehab.
