
Donald Albert Swagger
Born on July 21, 1961, in Rockford, Illinois, Donald spent his early years in Rockford and McChesney Park. He graduated from Harlem High School before proudly serving in the United States Army for eight years. Following his military service, he worked for the postal service in Kansas City before returning to Rockford, where he spent many years as a skilled garage door technician. Later in life, he made Wisconsin Dells his home.
Donald had a passion for classic hotrods, enjoyed fishing, and was a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Elliott.
Donald is lovingly remembered by his son, Jared Swagger of Loves Park, IL; his grandson, Aden Swagger of Loves Park, IL; his granddaughter, Kayla McBain of Rockford, IL; his stepfather, Gary Elliott of Loves Park, IL; his sister, Vera Adams of Leaf River, IL; and his beloved girlfriend, Toni Choppi of Wisconsin Dells, WI. He is also survived by extended family and many dear friends.
Donald’s memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
