Earl A. Sprague

Earl A. Sprague, age 90, of Milwaukee (formerly Nekoosa & Muskego, WI) died Sunday July 8, 2007 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Glendale, WI.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2007 at the Spring Branch Cemetery in the Town of Rome, Adams County, WI, Pastor Sam Downey will officiate.

Earl was born May 5, 1917 in Rocky River, Ohio to David and Ida (Beck) Sprague. He married Helen Machovec on January 1, 1942. Earl worked for the Milwaukee Journal as a type setter for many years. Earl retired and moved to Nekoosa in 1970s.

Earl enjoyed fishing, boating, bowling, and playing horseshoes.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents; wife Helen; brothers: Norman and Lester; and Sister, Norma.

Daughter: Dorothy (Ray) Revels of Richardson, TX
Son: Albert Sprague of Buffalo, WY
Daughter: Brenda (George) Temple of Mt. Pleasant, SC
Son: Clifford Sprague of Whitehall, Wisconsin
Grandchildren: 6

    I was very sad to hear of Earl`s passing. I bowled with him for many years in Nekoosa and fished for bluegills of his dock.He was a good friend to be around and a gentleman.
