Edward Lee Knupp Jr.

Edward Lee Knupp Jr., age 86, of Arkdale, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Ed was born on April 16, 1939, in Joliet, Illinois, to Edward Lee and Edna Pearl (Earls) Knupp. At the age of 14, he moved with his family to Arkdale. He graduated from Adams–Friendship High School in 1957. On January 7, 1961, Ed married Patricia Mann in Arkdale. He worked at the Consolidated Paper Company (Biron plant) for 34 years before retiring. Alongside his career, he also managed and worked the family farm.

Ed enjoyed NASCAR racing and especially loved racing his own #81 car at local tracks. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, with many cherished memories made on trips to Canada with friends and family. A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, Ed also spent much of his retirement tinkering with and fixing up his tractors—a pastime he truly loved.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edna Knupp; sister, Ruth Schroeder, and her husband, Beldon; and sister, Mildred Wright, and her husband, Bob.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Mann) Knupp; sons, Terrence (Diana) Knupp and Michael (Dawn) Knupp; five grandchildren: Krista (Ryan) Krizan, Matthew (Aron Bogseth) Knupp, Samantha (Chip) Mikota, Sean (Brittany) Knupp, and Sarah (Andrew) Fox; and seven great-grandchildren: Keely, Evan, Leah, Edward, Madaline, Macy, and Clara.

Condolences Pat,Terry, Mike, and family. My heart just breaks for you. May God wrap you in peace and comfort at this time. This Christmas will definitely be a sad one without him, but I can imagine it’s a glorious one he is experiencing now. His memory will forever be a fond one for all who knew him. I will always remember the year he told everyone on Christmas eve he was sitting up with his gun to wait for Santa. The year he sent me a package of old Christmas ornaments from the Knupp tree. (So family Christmas eve pasts can forever be remembered each year fondly) Uncle Eddie definitely was special.
