Edwin (a.k.a. Ed and Greg) was born on June 17, 1950 in Kenosha, WI, and was the son of the late Edwin and Doris Erskine. Greg was raised in Kenosha where he attended local schools and graduated from Bradford High School. He graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. On August 14, 1971, Greg married his high school sweetheart, Marlene Osinga. Greg and Marlene moved to Holmen, WI where they raised their two sons, Eric and Patrick.
Greg was a veteran who served in the Wisconsin National Guard. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Furthermore, he played and enjoyed watching baseball, football, and ice hockey. Greg also held a special place in his heart for dogs, most notably Labrador Retrievers, and had many loyal canine companions over the years. He was affectionately known as Uncle Buck by his nephews and niece, and Papa Ed by his grandchildren.
In his early years, Greg was a substitute teacher and then a pharmaceutical salesman. Later in life, Greg moved to Friendship and rekindled his passion for teaching by becoming a Special Education teacher at Adams Friendship High School. Greg lived in Friendship until the time of his passing.
Greg is survived by his children, Eric (Rebecca) of Friendship, WI, and Patrick (Corinna) of Holmen, WI. He is also survived by his siblings, Dolores “Dolly” (Philip) Haverstick of Ashburn, VA, Deborah (David) Blonski of Savage, MN, and Scott (Karen) Erskine of Somers, WI; five grandchildren, Win, Alison, Payton, Owen, and Gavin; one great grandchild, Lennox. A special thanks to Alysha and Ava for assisting Greg, when needed.

There will be a gathering for family and friends to be held at a future date.
My deepest sympathies to Greg’s family, friends, and students,
I went to school with Greg from grade school thru high school. I came to know a great guy who was kind, funny, and an all around great guy. He was someone who always left a smile on everyone’s face.
Please know how loved both he and your mother were by our class and now they are together for eternity.
Please let your memories of Greg help you thru these difficult times.
May they both rest in Peace ….
