Erliss A. Helgeson, age 92, of Adams, Wisconsin passed away in the early hours of December 05, 2011 at Liberty Manor.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Big Flats, Wisconsin. Pastor Karyn Bodenschatz will officiate. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church. Fellowship will follow the service. Interment will be at the Danish Lutheran Cemetery, Hope, Minnesota at a later date.
Erliss was born June 9, 1919 in Hope, Minnesota to Harry and Anna Sorenson. On July 18th, 1948 she married the love of her life Stanley Raymond Helgeson. They were blessed with one son, Helge.
She worked at Jostens Jewelry Store in MN during World War II. She also loved to camping and continued to camp into her 80s. She admired her troll and angel collection. Her grandchildren will miss her smile and sneaky humor.
She is survived by her son, Helge (Jill) Helgeson; Grandchildren: Heather (Matt) Wendland; Lars (Jen) Helgeson; Kyle Brierton; Amy (Jason) Hanneman; Great-Grandchildren: Damien, Sean, Abbigale, Jordan, and Alexander. She is further survived by her brother, Marlowe Sorenson.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Stanley; brother, Bernard and sister, Beatrice.

I was so sorry to hear about Erliss. How lucky we were to be able to have such a good visit with her in August. Mom sure enjoyed it and I know Sonya, Arlen and I did too. What a great lady. Our sympathies go out to you Helge, Heather, Lars and families.

I have many fond memories of visits to Stanley and her home and sampling all of the delicious foods she would make. What a great hostess and what a wonderful cook and baker. We still use her Lefsa recipe.She was a great lady and had such a wonderful outlook on life even with her personal trial. She always was upbeat. She was a person to admire, and we do. Erliss was a true lady always so charming, she will miss her grandchildren Heather and Lars so much you were the light of her life! Heather you and Matt took such good care of her,those important things that improved the quality of her life. She will be walking with you as you enter each phase of your lives. I had delivered groceries several times to Erliss. She was always a spot of sunshine. Such a wonderful lady. My condolences to her family
