Ernie Blackburn

Ernie "Butch" Blackburn, age 64, of Baraboo, Wisconsin died Friday, April 9, 2010 at the St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 345 N. Pine, Reedsburg, WI.

Friends may call at the church immediately before the service from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. All are welcomed to join Ernies family in sharing their remembrances of Ernies challenging but inspiring life through stories, memories, and photos.

Ernest was born May 1, 1945 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Ernest W. and Caroline (Kennison) Blackburn. Despite being handicapped, Ernest became a small business owner, Blackburns Recycling. He will be missed by many. Ernest was preceded in death by father, Ernest Blackburn; and sister, Elvita Rae Blackburn.

Sister: Evangeline (Gerald) Boyles of Baraboo, Wisconsin
Sister: Starlee Miller of Blue River, Wisconsin
Sister: Sarita Miller of Baraboo, Wisconsin
aunt: Martha Miller of Bellingham, Washington
further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

    Ernest will be missed. He was a great person. When he use to stop in at Rural Development, I think I made his day as much as he made mine. : )

    Butch was our neighbor for the last 5 years. I saw him a week ago and he asked me to help him move some railroad ties to the back of his house. My family and I will miss Butch very much. Rest in Peace.

    Dear Carolin.And Family. I was sad to read of Butch death. He was a gental person.And a friend. I he loved to watch my childern.Now all grown and married.I never saw him witha handicap.He was Butch or Butchy the friend. God Bless

    Ernest was the strongest and truest man I know. He never looked at life with anything but optimism and hope. He helped me at my farm and will be greatly missed. Ernest brought a special light to this world. He was an inspriation.
