    Dear Gene and family,
I had the honor and pleasure of working with Evelyn at the courthouse during the late 70’s and early 80’s. We kept in touch and shared a lot of good times. We got your Christmas card this year and did not know Evelyn was ill. She didn’t call attention to herself, so that is understandable. Evelyn taught me much – about putting family first, standing up for your beliefs, loving your country, and living life to the fullest. I will miss her very much.
