Frank Joseph Schable

scanFrank Joseph Schable, age 85, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adams, Wisconsin. Rev. John Krebs will officiate. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Military Honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Interment will be at the Eastside Cemetery, Montello, Wisconsin at a later date.

Frank was born April 2, 1929 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Frank J. and Teresa Schable. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy in the Pacific Theater of War. Frank returned from the war to North Dakota for a short while before moving to Wisconsin. He married Arlene Schurz and this union was blessed with three children. Frank farmed in Sullivan, WI until 1974 when he opened his plumbing business in Helenville, Wisconsin. He married Patricia Frances Kane on December 28, 1979 in Jefferson, Wisconsin and they moved to Oxford, Wisconsin in 1979. Frank continued his plumbing business for many years and was known to friends and customers as “Frank the Plumber.” He retired in 2004.

Frank enjoyed gardening, traveling, and taking care of his four cats, especially Melvin.

Frank was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. and Teresa Schable; son, Lynn Roy Schable; first wife, Arlene Schable; and son-in-law, Max Wincell.

Grandchildren: Jake (Megan) Schable, Jesse (Jenn) Schable, Jonathan (Carrie) Schable, Kurtis Wincell, Craig Wincell,
Step-Grandchildren: Michael Tellier, John Tellier, Roy Tellier, Michelle Tellier, Amy Tellier, Sara (Ken) Miller, Margaret Tellier, and Mary Tellier
Great-grandchildren: 8
Sister: Annie (Earl) Kling of Oregon
Sister: Evelyn (Mike) Derrah of Oregon
Sister: Janice Schable of Oregon
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    This is a very sad day Frank and I were very good friends when I had my heart attack he checked on me all the time I only wish I had had checked with him more often now, we worked together we drank beer together I know he sufferd way to long there’s nothing I would like more than to be there with you but due to my own health that’s not possible my wife and I express our condolences Pat if there’s any thing you need please call
