Georgene married William R. Seaman on October 30, 1954 in Milwaukee.  Bill worked for the CN&W Railroad, where they lived in Madison, Milwaukee, Lake Mills and finally settling in Adams in 1972.  Georgene felt very fortunate that she was able to stay home, raise her six children and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very crafty woman who enjoyed a variety of different hobbies; quilting, painting, crocheting, knitting, making artificial flower arrangements and sewing.  She knitted hundreds of sweaters for Oxfam sweater project for children overseas.  Following Bill’s retirement, they spent many weekends with the members of the Zor Shrine participating in parades and raising money for the Shriners Children’s Hospital. One of the highlights in her life was that she traveled to Italy with her daughters, her brother and his wife.

She was involved in many different organizations including Happy Hour Homemakers, Tuesday morning bowling, Red Hats, Moundview Hospital Auxiliary, Eastern Star and was a very active member of Trinity Congregational Church in Adams.
