Harold “Harry” F. Miller, age 83, of Big Flats, Wisconsin died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Wm S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospice Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be 12 Noon on Saturday, July 06, 2013 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Friends may call at Roseberry’s on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Military honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Harry was born November 11, 1929 in Richland County, Wisconsin to Emery and Myrtle (Dingman) Miller. He served in the Army from 1948 to 1952, serving in Japan and then in the Korean War. Harry married Shirley A. Lettman on June 01, 1953 in Blue River, Wisconsin. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Central Contracting in Madison. Harry and Shirley moved to Big Flats in 1977 and owned and operated Oak Grove Bar until 1986. He retired in 1988 due to his health.
Harry enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, riding his atv, and partying with his buddies.
Harry was a life member of the Adams VFW Post #6279, Adams American Legion Red Cloud #250, and the Jackpine Savages Snowmobile Club.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Myrtle Miller; brother, Ben Miller; sister, Betty Deckert; and granddaughter, Amber Lettman.
