Helga Gyssler

Helga Gyssler
Born: February 28, 1937
Passed Away: March 4, 2025
Age: 88

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Helga Gyssler, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, on March 4, 2025, at the age of 88. Helga was born on February 28, 1937, in Lahr, Germany, to Gottfried Lederle and Lina Kamm.

Helga had a lifelong passion for gardening. She found joy in tending to her flowers, creating beautiful gardens around her home, and she took great pride in cultivating beauty from the earth.

After retiring, Helga made the move from Illinois to Wisconsin, where she embraced the peacefulness of the hills, trees, and countryside. The natural beauty of her new home reminded her of her childhood in the German countryside, where she grew up surrounded by nature. It was in the tranquility of Wisconsin that Helga found the place where she was truly happiest, living out her days in the comfort of the scenery she had always loved.

When we think of Helga, we remember the warmth of our Christmas celebrations together. She brought the rich traditions of her German heritage into our lives, creating memories of love, laughter, and delicious meals. These cherished traditions live on, as they are passed down to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, keeping her spirit alive in our hearts.

Helga was preceded in death by her parents, Gottfried Lederle and Lina Kamm.

She is survived by her brothers, Roland and Eddie; her daughters: Marion and Andrea (Daniel); her grandchildren: Benjamin, Elizabeth, Kevin (Danielle), Nicole (Kevin), Sabrina (Chris), and Noelle; her great-grandchildren: Kari, Ryder, Eloise, Cheyenne, Easton, Daedric, Milla Mae, Hudson, and Crew.

In lieu of flowers, please make online gifts in memory of Helga Gyssler to the Dementia Society of America: http://www.DementiaSociety.org/donate.

May Helga’s spirit continue to bloom in the hearts of all who loved her.
