Ilene Martha Muth, age 81, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Sam Downey will officiate. Interment will be at the Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and again from 11:00 a.m. until the time service on Wednesday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Ilene was born November 4, 1935 in Richland Center, Wisconsin to Charles and Elizabeth Wilson.
She married Milford LaVerne Muth on Aug. 21, 1953 in Richland Center. After her husband returned home from Korea in 1955, Ilene and LaVerne moved to Janesville. The couple resided their until their “retirement” in 1983. At that time, they made the summer home in Grand Marsh their permanent residence.
Ilene treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren filled her heart with joy. Ilene also looked forward to her monthly “Girl’s Night Out” at the Grand Marsh Community Center’s Friday Fish Fry with her close friends.
Ilene was a member of the White Creek Congregational Church, where she received an outpouring of support, prayers and love. Ilene was continually lifted up in prayer by her extended Family of Christ.
Ilene was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Elizabeth Wilson; husband, Milford Laverne Muth; infant daughter, Deborah: sister, Beatrice Casper; brothers, Raymond Wilson; John Wilson & Charles Wilson and brother-in-law, Donald Burkum. Further preceded by many beloved in-laws that where always precious and dear to her.

Granddaughter: Nicole Kienast of Watertown, Wisconsin
Granddaughter: Tara Muth of Janesville, Wisconsin
Grandson: Trevor (Nikki Higgs) Muth of Janesville, Wisconsin
Grandson: Colt (Christina Brown) Wright of Cape Corral, Florida
Grandson: Cody (Keagen Gast) Fredrick of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
11 great-grandchildren
Sister: Mildred Burkum of Clay Center, Nebraska
Sister: Sharon (Whitey Pellett) Hilleshiem of Waunakee, Wisconsin
Brother: James Wilson of Richland Center, Wisconsin
Sister: Diane (Kit) Kuokkanen of Waukesha, Wisconsin
Brother: Lawrence (Kathleen) Wilson of Richland Center, Wisconsin
Further survived by her nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends that were considered her immediate family in her golden heart

As we say Good-bye to Ilene today, remember she is always there tucked away in your heart. She will be watching over each and everyone of you always.
