James Gleason

James Gleason, age 89, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin died August 13, 2011 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1432 32nd St. South, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Mr. Robert Carter will officiate.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

James was born November 17, 1921 in Belfast, Ireland to Walter and Anne Elizabeth (Gardner) Gleason. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in Army. He met Dorothy Oswald in Chicago, IL, they were married 1942. James worked at Kubin and Nicholson in Milwaukee, WI as a commercial artist. Later they moved to West Bend WI. Dorothy passed away on Aug 25th of 1971 as a result of an automobile accident.

He married Joan Frances Harpel on March 25, 1972 in West Bend, WI.

James was baptized a Jehovahs Witness in 1950, and was active in many congregations. He served as a stage and sign servant at circuit and district conventions for Jehovahs Witnesses.

James was a member of the Jehovahs Witnesses in Wisconsin Rapids.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Anne Elizabeth Gleason; first wife, Dorothy;
second wife, Joan; brothers: Albert and Arthur; and grandson, Daniel.

Daughter: Judy (Donald) Patton of West Bend, Wisconsin
Daughter: Patricia (David) Holling of Dousman, Wisconsin
Son: Bryan (Marion) Gleason of Sullivan, Wisconsin
Daughter: Anne Gleason of Dallas, Texas
Further survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
