James Steinle

James Steinle

May 24, 1952 – August 20, 2025

Jim went to meet his maker on 8/20/25 surrounded by his loving family. Jim enjoyed music, bantering filled with wise-cracks and jokes, and playing a good game of golf. He was fierce by nature at showing his love, loyalty, wisdom, admiration, and strong opinions. Jim was a man filled with passion who sought God’s guidance and shared his love.
Jim worked as a construction worker and later became a counselor/mentor at Operation Fresh Start and Turning Point. This held a special place in his heart as he struggled in his youth and wanted to give back.

Jim was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rosemarie Platt; Dr. William B. Hobbins (Foster Dad); and his sisters, Jill and Jan Steinle. He is survived by Marlene Pollard, his soulmate, who stood by his side with care; his amazing brother, Jack Nordness; and his former spouse, Cynthia Helen Hill.

Jim leaves behind a legacy that encompasses a small village of love, bound together by his eight children and sixteen grandchildren. His children: Brenda Raimond, Debbie McCosky (Don), Jenny Patterson (Ron), Chad Steinle, Jessie Bearden (Lane), Josh Steinle, Amberly Bonner (Justin), and Ashley Roark (Paul)∙ They will forever hold his teachings and love in their hearts. His grandchildren: (He loved to be called Paw Jim by his grandchildren) Kayla Barman – Brooke Raimond – Sean, Casey, & Brianna McCosky – Olivia & Braylon Patterson – Annabel, Cullen, & Declan Steinle – Cooper, Jozie, & Piper Bearden – Sydnee, Lilie, & Kielor Roark. His great-grandchildren: Ethan, Mason, and Athena.

As we remember Jim, let us celebrate the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the faith he embodied. His spirit will continue to guide us, reminding us to cherish each moment and to love fiercely. A memorial service will be held to honor his life and legacy, details of which will be shared later.

Rest in peace, dear Jim. Your love will forever echo in our hearts and his fighting will!
