Jeffrey R. Treat, 62, better known as “Jeff’” climbed the stairway to Heaven on Sunday, May 15, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. Born January 19, 1960 in Chicago, IL, he was the loving husband to Diana Eder Treat and the son of Harriette Rosenow Treat and the late Robert Treat. He was a lifelong resident of Adams, WI. After graduating high school, he went on to proudly serve our country in the United States Army and National Guard for 13 years. Jeff spent his career as a Machinery Mechanic, mostly known for working at Camp Douglas, the Broilermaker Union Number 107 and West Rock. He was a very talented guitarist who could play any song by ear.
Jeff was a man with a heart for helping others, he dedicated his life to serving our country and his community. His love for music and kids were brought together through his volunteering and raising money for A-F BAND Aid, a program to support the local band. Our military was near and dear to his heart, he donated goods and volunteered years of service for veteran causes such as “Red Friday” which is a program to Remember Everyone Deployed. He also helped establish the first Fire Department in Strongs Prairie, WI and served as a volunteer firefighter.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Tammy Rodriguez (James) of NC, Danielle Treat of WI, and Tyler Treat of AZ; sister, Jennifer Treat Anderson (Bob) of WI; brother, Mark Treat (Kim) of MN; grandchildren, Sandra, Conner and Corbin; niece, Krista Krizan (Ryan) of WI and Heather Clervi (Michael) of TX; nephews, Matthew Knupp of WI and Brad Treat (Kristina) of MN; and by many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Treat.
A memorial service will be held in his home town at a later date and announced by the family.
To know Jeff is to know how much he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He embraced and loved everyone in his life. He is well known for a life served well. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
