I am so sad to hear about Hippie. He was a good friend to my husband and I. We were also a member of the IRAC club with him for many years. Angie, I would like to send my condolences to you and your family. While reading a special poem I found, I thought of Hippie when I read it. I thought this would give you some peace of mind in this time of grief. Below is the reading I just spoke of:
REMEMBER ME
Remember me when flowers bloom
Early in the Spring
Remember me on sunny days
In the fun that summer brings
Remember me in the fall
As you walk through the leaves of gold
And in the wintertime – remember me
In the stories that are told
But most of all remember
Each day – right from the start
I will be forever near
For I live within you heart
The thing I remember about Hippie is that he was always helping others when he could and he always had a smile on his face even if it was a bad day. I am going to miss him very, very much. One final goodbye, I love you Hippie and you will forever be in my heart.
P.S. Angie would you please e-mail me?
I would love to hear from you!
Love,
ET
So sorry to hear of Hippies passing. Prayers sent to the family.
This is a sad experience for all of our family. Jerry was my older brother and has always been there for me when we were growing up. As adults, he moved away to Wisconsin and I moved to Arizona so we didn’t see each for about 10 years but have talked often. He was a wonderful person who always helped others and never asked for anything for himself. My thoughts and prayers will be for his surviving children Angie and Quentin. May he be at peace with all of his loved ones that have went before him.

Sad day indeed. Jerry (Hippie) was a good soul, always there with a smile. Will be sadly missed.
I was very sorry to hear about your loss. Jerry was my nephew-by-marriage. He was a sweet child and a gentle soul. He and his cousin, Terese Schmieg Sinklair(my daughter), stayed connected and we all have loving memories of him.
I won’t be able to get to the service, but hope to meet his family soon. We would like to get to know you and about his life in Wisconsin. We have photos and stories to share, if you would care to meet us sometime in the near future.

I am so sorry for the loss of your father, Angie & Quentin. I remember Jerry from a long time ago when your mom was married to him.
