Jerry D. Bly, age 67 of Big Flats, Wisconsin peacefully went to his heavenly home on January 1, 2014.
He was born on March 19, 1946 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Bee and Carrie Bly.
Jerry lived quite a life prior to meeting the love of his life, Judy Adams, in Madison, Wisconsin in 1989. At this time, Judy had two grown sons and a pre-teen daughter, whom he played a significant role in helping to raise. They moved to Arkansas for a short time to help care for his dad and then returned to Wisconsin where they resided in Big Flats. After Judy’s passing in 2004, Jerry deeply missed her and awaited their heavenly reunion.
Jerry was quite the talker, sharing his many life stories. He was a great cook, most remembered by his homemade barbeque sauce and pecan pies. He enjoyed reading old western books, rolling his smokes and watching TV. He had a love for his dogs, enjoying the companionship of many throughout his life. He was especially proud of and loved his grandchildren. He will be missed by many, including his close friends Peggy and Sarge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bee & Carrie Bly; significant other, Judy Adams-Bly; brother, Larry Bly; and sister, Barbara Bly.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated with his ashes spread over his parents’ graves in Arkansas. There will be no memorial service.

Oh Jerry I will so miss your stories. You were a great guy. I know a lot of folks didn’t quite understand you but I did and I thought you were a “cool dude”. After I moved I really missed your visits coming down to the old place to mess with the horses. I think they come to look forward to your visits. Well several of them have since crossed the rainbow bridge so I hope you keep them company in heaven. You have gone to be with Judy now, May the two of you enjoy an eternity in heaven. I will miss you buddy. R.I.P. my friend.
Christa and family, so sorry for your loss.
