Jodeen G. Miller

Jodeen G. Miller, age 47, of Adams, formerly of Beaver Dam Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly following a long illness on January 8, 2012 at the Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, Wisconsin. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church.

Jodeen was born June 11, 1964 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Dennis and Joanne (Kirchoff) Miller.

She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1982. She then attended U.W. Whitewater where she received her Bachelors Degree in Education. She continued her education at U.W. Stevens Point, receiving her Masters Degree. She worked for the Adams-Friendship School District for 20 years. A dedicated educator Jodi retired in 2009, due to health issues.

Jodi loved to travel & spend time with her friends & family. She was a board member, producer & occasional actor with the Sand Co. Players. She was the secretary of the Education Association, coordinator of the Beginning Teacher & Mentorship program.

Jodi loved being a part of the Adams-Friendship community. She enjoyed great friendships here, and loved teaching.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Miller; grandparents, Andy & CeCelia Miller; grandparents, Carl & Elda Lockwood; Aunt & Uncle, Pat & Beverly Gibbs & Cousins, Debra & Shelly

Nephew: Sean Conklin of Madison, Wisconsin
Nephew: Zachary Miller of Greendale, Wisconsin
Niece: Lindsay Miller of Greendale, Wisconsin
further survived by numerous cousins & friends

Special thanks to her many doctors, especially Dr. Bellack & Nancy, Dr Wiedmeyer & Megan.

The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Pines, and her roommate Elsie Landon, for the wonderful care and friendship.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Arkdale Trinity Youth Group and/or the local food pantry.

    Joanne – I am so sorry for your loss. I was friends with Jodi in high school and early college years. I have fond memories of drinking Tab with her while soaking up the sun by your backyard pool, goofing around on her piano, and how she refused to eat rice krispie squares because she was convinced that one time they made her sick. I always meant to re-connect with Jodi, and now regret a lost opportunity – a good lesson to learn. May she rest in peace.

    Jodi was my twin girls 5th grade teacher. I am sure that she will be missed. But it always amazed me that she came to work no matter what kind of pain she was in. She was a real trooper and she loved the kids that is what kept her going I think. Rest in Peace Jodi!!!
