John B. Moynahan

facebook_1457554058319_MoynahanJohn B. Moynahan, age 83, of Adams, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Father James P. McNamee will officiate.  Interment will be at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery in Friendship.  Visitation will be 11:30 until the time of Mass on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

John was born July 18, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Prosperus and Ida (LaPine) Moynahan.

He enlisted in the United States Army serving in Germany before being honorably discharged in 1955.

John married Patricia D. Kressin on February 8, 1958 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He was employed for over 30 years at Pabst Brewing Company before retiring. John & Patricia later moved to Adams County 2002.

John enjoyed being an artist and doing woodwork.  He also enjoyed fishing, and going to the casino.

He was a member of the Union Local #9 and the American Legion Post #180 in Milwaukee.

John was preceded in death by his father, Prosperus Moynahan; mother, Ida Huberty, and his four siblings LaVerne, John Arthur, Tom & Donald.

Son:  Daniel Moynahan of Adams, Wisconsin

Son:  Terrance Moynahan of Adams, Wisconsin

Granddaughter:  Briana Moynahan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Granddaughter:  Megan Moynahan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Sister-in-law:  Phyllis (Gary) Carr of Janesville, Wisconsin

Brother-in-law:  Roy (Susan) Kressin of Tempe, Arizona

    My brother and I spent many hours with his son Dan as childhood friends, and a lot of time at the Moynahan’s house in Milwaukee.
    There is light in knowing that John’s struggles are now over.
