John N. Bolster

John Nicholas Bolster, age 85, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Friends may call at Roseberry’s on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Military honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

John was born January 13, 1926 in Mapleton, Iowa to Adolph and Margaret (Fleming) Bolster. He grew up on a farm in Wheatland, Iowa . John married Thelma Elaine Basham on May 16, 1957 in Waukegan, IL. He was in the US Navy for 22 years. He served in WWII, Korea War, and the Vietnam War. He retired and bought
a farmette in Grand Marsh where he lived for 30 years. He loved spending time with his friends at the Wooden Nickel Bar.

He was preceded in death by: parents; wife, Thelma E. Bolster; 2 Brothers; 3 Sisters; and son-in-law, Patrick C. O’Donnell.
