Joseph Allen Renner, age 87, of Easton, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, October 24th, 2019 at William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin following a short illness.
Interment with military honors will be November 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Easton Cemetery.
Joe was born April 9th, 1932 in Pleasant Valley, IL – the son of John and Bonnie (Bishop) Renner. His family moved to Monroe Center when he was one year old. He attended Monroe Center Grade School and worked on the family farm until he got a job making cheese at the age of 19. He did that for ten years until he was drafted in 1953. On March 17th of that year, he went into the Army. After basic training at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas he was sent overseas to Rothenburg, Germany. When he came home, he went back to the farm and his job making cheese. He also worked in Cranmoor Marsh harvesting cranberries, General Merchandise in Milwaukee, and the boat factory in Adams building boats. Joe married Grace Ann Corrigan in April of 1955. They were married forty years and made their home in Easton.
Joe enjoyed listening to country music, reading, walking, and dancing. He loved the outdoors.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bonnie Renner; his wife, Grace (2001); brothers, George, Ralph, Melvin, and Simon, and sisters, Bessie, Myrtle, Gertrude & Hazel.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the funeral home to contribute to his services.
