Joseph Edward Pietrowski Sr., age 69, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at his home following a long illness surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. The Adams County Honor Guard will offer military honors. Friends may call at Roseberry’s from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service and again after the service until 7 p.m.
Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery at a later date.
Joe was born January 6, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph Peter and Lottie F. (Filas) Pietrowski. Following High School he joined the Army and served his country in 1960. Joe married Janine Krawczak on January 9, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois. He worked for A&P as a mechanic before joining United Parcel Service in 1965 from which he retired in 1991. Joe and Janine moved to their home in Quincy Township in 1993.
Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and enjoyed his retirement with his devoted wife, Janine.
Joe was past Worshipful Master at Quincy Lodge#71 in 2003, Four Season’s coffee clutch, and the American Legion Red Cloud Post #250. Joe received the Gold Veteran’s Badge in October of 2009 from The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for his 45 years of service to the union.
Joe was an incredibly kind and loving husband, father, grandpa and friend. He always had a smile on his face. He seemed to find the lighter side of any bad situation. His patience and wisdom was amazing and his love for his family was so strong. He married his friend and love of his life. Life was too short, and he lived his to the fullest.
Memorials in Joe’s memory may be directed to his family.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lottie Pietrowski.

Sister-in-law: Marcy Piazza of El Mirage, Arizona
Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
