Joseph Walter Rykiel, Jr.
Joe was a life-long resident of the Grand Marsh area. He loved his peaceful home in the woods, working in his garage, NASCAR, and the BEARS, but above all, the love of his life, his wife of 45 years, Jeanne, his faithful pup Ollie, and his family.
Joe was a great man, who would go out of his way to help anyone if he could. He had an extraordinary talent for building and creating anything he saw a need for. He was an amazing cook and loved to share his Polish recipes. He was happy to pass on his skills to his children and grandchildren and proud to watch them grow and learn to be self-sufficient.
Over the last decade, he never gave up a day, miraculously rebounding time and time again. He had a bucket list and made sure he checked off each item. His family is thankful and blessed to have had the extra years with him that he fought so valiantly for.
He leaves behind, his wife, Jeanne Marie Rykiel (nee Parks), son, Daniel J Rykiel, daughters; Michelle L Rykiel-Hilt, Jeanette (Jason) Anderson, Jolene (Randy) Cochenet. His Grandchildren; Dallas (Zachary) Cayson, Devon Vinney, Aaron T. Frydrych, Jacob Rykiel, Kera Hyatt, Daniel L. Rykiel, Raelyn Anagnostopoulos, and Great-Grandson, Logan J. Cayson. His faithful friends: Toni and Karl Boettcher and many other extended family members.
A private memorial service will be held.
