Judy Gabriel

Judy J Gabriel, age 67, of Arkdale, Wisconsin passed away on August 24, 2013 and went to be with her Lord.

Judy was the daughter of Herman and Minerva Wells Reinshagen of Kauneonga Lake. Upon graduating from Cornell University, she continued working on her family farm, Reinshagen Farms and will always be remembered for her strawberry shortcakes at the annual Greenhouse Open House. On November 28, 1970, she married the boy next door, Douglas Gabriel and had four children. Judy spent many hours with her children at sporting events, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, AYSO soccer, Dairy Princess, driving lessons and more! If farming in New York wasn’t challenging enough, she moved with her husband to Boise City, Oklahoma in 2000 and then on to Friendship Wisconsin in 2009 establishing a successful greenhouse at each location. Along the way, she met wonderful people through her Red Hat Society, Eta Alpha sorority and church congregations.

Continuing to celebrate Judy’s life are her spouse, Douglas, four children and spouses; Wayne Gabriel, Glenn & Roberta Gabriel, Daren & Robyn Gabriel and Tammy & Matt Stiene, three grandchildren, her mother, Minerva Reinshagen, sister, Debra Bennett, brother, Raymond Reinshagen. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Reinshagen and sister, Ruth Decker.

A gathering will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Trinity Congregational Church in Adams, Wisconsin at 2:00 p.m. praising and celebrating Judy’s life. In lieu of flowers, commemorating gifts may be made to Kauneonga Lake United Methodist Church, Co Rd, 141, Kauneonga Lake, NY; Felt United Methodist Church, 1st & Madison, Felt, OK; or Trinity Congregational Church , 148 N. Grant St, Adams, WI.

Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Judy, you will walk by us each and every day!
