Karen Gilbertson
There will be a celebration of life held in the spring.
Karen was born June 9, 1965, to Alden and Edna (Allen) Gangstad. She held a few different job titles in her better years but loved bartending the most. She gave birth to her daughter in August of 1988. She raised her with the help of her parents and best friend, Shelly. She had her son Jacob, in October of 1993. She married Bruce Gilbertson in 1994, but they later divorced. Karen was known as a strong independent woman with witty humor.
Karen was not afraid to speak her mind and let you know what she was thinking even if it would get her in trouble, which it often did. Karen loved kids. She touched the lives of so many children and always tried to help the ones that were struggling, lost or just looking for someone to believe in them, which is why she was known as Aunt Karen to almost every child that crossed her path. Karen enjoyed camping, playing dominos, watching movies, and riding motorcycles.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be forever remembered by her daughter Jennifer, son Jacob, sister Connie O’Neil, grandchildren Josten, Jaxon, Jaidyn, Jameson, and Cashton; best friend Shelly, God daughter Carrie, and everyone else that she held close.
