Kenneth E. Mattke, age 76, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away on March 14, 2012 at the Moundview Memorial Hospital in Friendship, Wisconsin. Kenneth was born January 26, 1936 in Woodruff, Wisconsin. He attended High School in Milwaukee and then enlisted with the United States Army. He served for three years and was stationed in Africa as a Cryptographer. Kenneth married Diane J. Bitter on March 3, 1962. Together they had three children, Dawn Marie, Shawn Michael & Sherry Lyn. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling and flying his R.C. airplanes & helicopters.
Kenneth was preceded in death by: his parents, Russel & Arline and his sister Barbara.

Daughter: Dawn (Bill) Shookman of North Carolina
Son: Shawn Mattke of Stetsonville, Wisconsin
Daughter: Sherry (Pete) Grossman of Elkhorn, Wisconsin
Grandchildren: TJ, Joshua, Brandon & Aleiha
Great-Granddaughter: Madison

Diane, Sorry to hear about Ken’s passing. We all will miss him. He was a great conversationalist and I truly enjoyed chatting with him when he came into the store or I visited you two at home. You both were great customers and I considered you and Ken good friends. God Bless.
I was really surprised about Ken. So sorry. I guess I never really realized he was sick. Him and I had alot of laughs together at the Lake Oasis’s Truckstop in Lake Mills. I live in Stoughton now. You got the email address if you are down this way give me a heads up.
