Larry Yerke
No services are planned at this time.
Larry was born June 14, 1942 in Monfort, Wisconsin to Earl and Lorraine Yerke. He married Judith Waring on September 13, 1962 in Livingston, Wisconsin. Larry retired from Chrysler in Belvidere, IL following 30 years of dedicated service. Larry found joy in the open road astride his beloved Harley motorcycle, casting lines into peaceful waters during fishing excursions, and channeling his mechanical prowess into working on vehicles and motors. His green thumb found solace in the beauty of yardwork, a labor of love that added vibrancy to his surroundings. A man of conviviality, Larry cherished moments shared over a few “totties” with dear family and friends, the comforting embrace of his pipe smoke lingering in the air.
“The Roadhouse” broasted chicken held a special place in Larry’s heart, as did the Friday dinners spent in the company of his sister Kay. These simple pleasures reflected the richness of a life well-lived.
Larry is survived by his devoted son, James (Jo Jo) Yerke of Necedah, WI, and loving daughter, Brenda (Keith) Kuhnle of Janesville, WI. His memory lives on through his sister, Kay Rice of Adams, WI, and brother, Gene Yerke of Kingsport, TN. Fondly remembered by grandsons Ben (Lori) Yerke of Necedah, WI, and Keagan (Brittany) Kuhnle of Janesville, WI, Larry’s legacy extends to nephews Greg Yerke of Janesville, WI, and Jeff (Valerie) Rice of Coloma, WI.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith Yerke, and other family members.
