Taylor_Sancn_webLaVerne M. Taylor, age 93, of Mauston, Wisconsin passed away on May 6, 2013 at the Cottage Care
Circle in Mauston, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Interment will be at the Dellwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home. LaVerne was born July 19, 1919 in Racine, Wisconsin to Martin and Hattie (Smith) Jensen.

LaVerne was raised in Warrens, Wisconsin. She met George W. Taylor from Oakdale, Wisconsin. They were married on September 4, 1937. They lived in the Milwaukee area where they raised their five children, George, Donna, David, Kenneth and Michael. Following their retirement they moved to Dellwood. After George’s death in 1978, LaVerne moved to Mauston.

LaVerne enjoyed living life to its fullest, dancing, playing bingo and cards, going to the casino, snowmobiling, and especially spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin & Hattie Jensen; daughter, Donna Martinson; son, Kenneth Taylor and several brothers & sisters

Son: George (Terri) Taylor of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin
Son: David (Wendy) Taylor of Princeton, Wisconsin
Son: Michael (Debra) Taylor of Mauston, Wisconsin
Further survived by: many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends

    My thoughts go out to Mike and his family. I did not know your mother but am proud to call Mike a friend. Losing a mother is never easy even though they lived a long full life. I am sure you have lots of memories that will keep her in your thoughts.
