Jackie–LaVon was such a special lady. I so enjoyed her when she spent time in the conference room at our office. What a great lady. I couldn’t get over how good she was at those puzzles. She filled in the blanks much better than I ever could. Talented even in her late years. And her smile, what a sweetheart. Jackie I love you and want you to know what a pleasure it was working with you. I’m glad we still are email friends. Love you Dorothy

Dear Aunt Janet and Karin, So wanting you to know that I was thinking of you both today and sorry that I couldn’t be there with you. You know, Aunt Voney was the first one of you that I met when I came to this family outside of Hazel and Eldan of course. She was waiting at the airport on my first visit. Her infectious laughter was always so great!! I’m so glad that Katie, Vance and I got up to see Aunt Voney last summer and enjoyed spending time with her at her home. She was certainly a gem and will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time….Love to you all, Suzanne

  15. Melanie Vail says:

    Grandma,

I have had several people tell me today that you were the most “awesome” grandmother they had ever met. And, I agree. We will all carry with us our favorite “Grandma Voney” stories, especially those whose truth factor was questionable at best.

I will always smile when I remember you trudging through Ireland with the Vail clan and telling all of your friends that you slept in a tent on the beach in Hawaii! And, of course, I will never forget the many evenings that you provided a running commentary while you and Justin watched major league sports together on the couch.

You touched so many people with your jokes and stories, and I can only hope that I will laugh during my own life as much as you did.

    We will miss you!

    Love,
    Melanie

  16. Bill and Debra Roberts says:
