Leonard Duane Meistad, age 70, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Strawberry Lane Medical & Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
Private Memorial services will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate.
Leonard was born December 28, 1939 in Loretta, Wisconsin to Oscar and Leota Meistad. He married Geraldine Kent on November 16, 1957 in Gilmanton, Wisconsin. Leonard worked as a machinist for Scan-O-Matic in Racine for many years. He retired in 1999 and moved to Friendship, WI.
Leonard love all sports, pool, horseshoes, darts, bowling, softball, watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He was a member of Moose Lodge.
Memorials, in Leonards name, may be directed to the American Lung Association.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Leota Meistad; brothers: Ronald and Gordon; sisters: Margaret and Gail.
