Leroy W. Laack Jr.

Leroy W. Laack Jr. (Butch) 1955-2013.  Leroy was born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin on November 16, 1955, to Leroy and Marlene (Worthington) Laack.  He was a motor head and enjoyed working on muscle cars especially his 74 GTO.  He had a huge heart and touched the lives of many.    Leroy passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 6, 2013.  He was preceded in death by sons Shawn and Tommy; and a niece Addison.  He is survived by his 6 children:  Joshua Laack of Belleview, IA; Kenneth Laack of Wisconsin Dells; Kevin (Samantha) Laack of New Lisbon, Leah Laack of Columbus, Katti Laack of Wisconsin Dells; and Jason Laack of Wisconsin Dells; 2 granddaughters; Tinka and Keelie Jeanne.  He also leaves behind his parents Leroy and Marlene Laack of Cuba City; 3 siblings: Ron (Rea) Laack of Kendall; Theresa Laack of Madison; and  Justin (Stacey) Laack of Cuba City; and many extended family members and friends.  A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at New Life Outreach, Hwy 12 in Baraboo, with Pastor Leonard Wells officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am till the time of service.  Condolences may be sent to 301 Maple Ave, Columbus, WI 53925.

    Leroy,
    I am glad that I met you almost 15 years ago. You will def be missed on this physical earth you’re heart was so big and you love your family and friends so much. I am so glad that I had stopped in out of the blue to see you again you have always gave me a huge hug no matter when it was and told me you loved me like a son. I am so happy that you had let me get to know your family the way I do and I do consider them all like an extended part of me. You will never EVER be forgotten and you will always have a huge part of my heart. Come and visit us down here especially your kids. Thank you so much for bringing so much laughter into my life. I will never forget all the times you and I have had on the road trucking together. Once again I am so glad that I did stop in and see you, Kenny, Katti and Jason that day. I will always love you.     We will all miss u Butch i’m saying this for my dad since he isn’t handling and of this well at all. He is remembering on all the good times and bad that u both had together he misses u unlce. He is so torn up u two were like brothers not blood but still very close so please look over him.     I’m saying this for my dad Stanley him and butch were like brothers might have not been blood but still they were tight. They had a lot of fun and some bad times together. My dad is taking it so hard right now along with all the family. I really hope all stays strong and remember all the great times we had with my uncle that is what he would have wanted.     I’ve been taking care of you off and on for the past 23 years…so it only seems natural for me to step up to the plate and help the kids get through this as well. Your/our children have broken hearts…but they are strong and you know it as well as I do that they will make it through this too. I have so many memories of the life you lived. I am fortunate to have been able to share parts of that life with you. You know that I will always be here to help the kids and to guide them along the way. We could use a little help from above though…so if you can arrange to give us a hand it sure would help. May you rest in peace. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.
