Lorraine T. Jursa, age 85, of Friendship, Wisconsin died September 02, 2011 at the Villa Pines
Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Memorial Services will be 12 Noon on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Friday, September 16th from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Lorraine was born March 22, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to (Frank Cyranek) and Stella (Zielinski). She married Joseph Jursa on October, 1960. Lorraine was a well known cook in the city of Necedah. She worked full time for multiple years at Triple P and over 20 years as a cook, for the two restaurants in Necedah. She had actually retired, but lived with her daughter, Linda for nearly a year in IL. At the age of 61 yrs old, she chose to work for her daughter, Linda (Director of Nursing), as a certified nurses at a very large nursing home. She was successful in having those residents, in Personal Care to do unbelievable things showing them, it can be done and while having fun, bringing the concept to fruition, nursing homes can be the place to be She was an awesome role model to the circle of life. She was the most giving and unselfish woman anyone had the pleasure to know and lived daily life, as it was the last.

She will always be remembered by her children as always giving them a run for their money in roller-skating and biking. She also loved music and loved to dance. The mold was broken for her zest of life. She taught us well, to never allow grass to grow under your feet. She had loved to play bingo and cards with neighbors.

Lorraine was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church. She was a proud and active member of 32 ½ years in the Auxiliary. She was active member in the school system while her children attended the system.

Lorraine was preceded in death by: her parents, her first husband Joseph Dodaro and second husband, Joseph Jursa, her eldest sister Ceil, brother, Casey and his wife, Alice and their daughter, her brother in law-John, aunts Sue and Sister Lawrence, and her infant granddaughter, Maria Mahler.

Survivors:
Son: Chester Jursa of Arkdale, Wis. Daughters: Linda Jursa of Oakley, California, Mary Mahler of Berkeley, IL and Theresa Jursa of Necedah, Wis.
Her sister, Esther Newell of Brookfield, IL, Her granddaughter , Jennifer whom she raised until she was eight years old residing in IA, Emilie Watson , and Christina in Massachusetts and grandson, Matt in Massachusetts and Jerry and Jeff in IL. Nieces, Lenore and Maxine of IL and a niece, Marie in Fla. A great great granddaughter, Zanna in Wis. and three soon to be four, great great grandsons in Wis and Iowa.
