Marian Mae McFarlin Zaborek, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, December 26th in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born May 13th, 1935 in Adams County, Wisconsin, Marian was the daughter of Holace Pierce and Lila Anne (Roberts) McFarlin. Marian graduated from A-F High School and the University of Wisconsin. In 1976 she moved to Orange Park Florida where she taught elementary education until her retirement from St. Johns Country Day School. She taught elementary education all of her professional life, until disabled from a stroke.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Amy Zaborek Pomar, son-in-law, George Pomar, and grandson, Samuel Pomar.
A visitation will be held at Roseberrys Funeral Home on Friday January 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., with a service to be held at 11:00 a.m. with Father James P. McNamee officiating. Marian will be laid to rest in the New Chester Cemetery.

Excuse me for intruding at a time of great grief, but could Ms. Zaborek have taught kindergarten at Edgerton Community Elementary School in the mid-1960s (about 1964-1965). If so, she was my kindergarten teacher. Regardless, I send her family my sympathy.
