Mark L. Schaetzka

Mark Louis Schaetzka, age 38, of Adams, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2012.

Funeral services will be 2:00p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Rev. John K. Stake will officiate.  Interment will be at the New Chester Cemetery, Town of New Chester, Adams County Wisconsin.  Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Mark was born August 15, 1973 in Adams, Wisconsin to Frank and Karen (Bloss) Schaetzka.

He graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1991.  He then attended Mid-State Technical College for welding.

Mark married Rebecca Foster on September 26, 1998.  They had one daughter Megan. She was Daddy’s little Girl and was his pride and joy.

He worked side by side with his father with their wood cutting and trucking business until his father’s death in 1999.  Mark established, owned and operated Mark Schaetzka Transport and Custom Hauling.

Mark enjoyed spending time with his friends, riding motorcycle, four wheeling and deer hunting.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Schaetzka; Grandmother, Angeline Schaetzka; Grandfather, Louis Schaetzka & Grandfather, Clifford Bloss

Mother:  Karen Christensen of Westfield, Wisconsin
Sister:  Melissa Schaetzka of Westfield, Wisconsin
Nephew:  Alan (Amanda Fenske) Johnson of Ripon, Wisconsin
Grandmother:  Flossie Bloss-Preston of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin
Mother of Megan:  Rebecca Schaetzka of Adams, Wisconsin
further survived by many aunts, uncles, relatives & friends

    Karen & Megan, Altho you don’t know us we knew Mark somewhat. Friends with Terry and Tim. We lost our son last May from a sudden heart attack and it’s tough.     I am so very, very sorry to hear about Mark. He was one of my very best friends as far as guys go. We always both had a love for old cars, and he would tease me to no end about being a ford girl. I remember hearing some kind of engine roaring and looking out the window to see Mark riding his 4-wheeler in his front yard popping wheelies (I would always think that he was going to roll that thing)…He will be missed!
