
Mark Horenberger
Mark Steven Horenberger, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 8, 1955, to Raymond and Louise (Johnson) Horenberger in McHenry, Illinois.
Mark graduated from Baraboo High School in 1974 and later retired in 2020 from his position as General Manager at the Clarion Hotel.
Mark was actively involved in and volunteered with many organizations, including the Sauk County Tavern League, Bar Buddies in Baraboo, and the St. Clare Hospital Auxiliary. His greatest passion, however, was the Circus World Museum, where he was a proud member of Circus Tent 100.
Mark is survived by his wife, Cathy; his son, Matthew (Lori) Miller; his daughter, Angela (Scott) Bowar; and his grandchildren, Meaghan, Leah, and Adam Miller, and Haeden Bowar. He is also survived by his sisters, Sue Mott, RaeAnn Gray, and Amy LaMarche; his brother, Tim Horenberger; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Mark’s final days.
A celebration of life will be held on June 20, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at the Gem City Tavern.
