Mary Lou Van Meter

Mary Lou Van Meter, age 88, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Adams Trinity Congregational Church in Adams, Wisconsin.   Rev. Richard Corning will officiate.  Friends may call at the church on Friday, Dec. 18th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. 

Interment, at a later date, will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin. 

Mary Lou was born October 12, 1921 in Seattle, Washington to Harry and Carolyn (Werner) Calvert.   She married Edmin Van Meter on April 2, 1943 in Streator, Illinois. 

Mary Lou was a member of the Adams Trinity Congregational Church, and also a member of the Red  Hat Society Chapter "Friendship MADam Hatters". She all so loved to play cards with friends.  Will be very much missed by companion Happy Dog

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents,  Harry and Carolyn Calvert.

Son:  Paul Van Meter of Friendship, Wisconsin
Daughter:  Carol Kohl of St. Paul, Minnesota
Grandchildren:  Jennifer, Corey, Christopher, and Dennis
Sister:  Helen Perisho of San Luis Obispo, California
Sister-in-law:  Corine Westphal of Newark, Illinois

Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hospice Touch  Adams Office, P.O. Box 253, Friendship, WI 53934.
