Mary was born September 29, 1934 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania to James and Catherine (Moran) Crossin. Mary worked for many years in the healthcare field including as Director of Nursing at Villa Pines Nursing Home and as a Home Health Nurse in the Adams County area. In her final months, she received wonderful, loving, care from the Liberty Manor Staff and Hospice Touch of Tomah, for which her family is very grateful.
Mary is survived by her son Mark, and daughter-in-Law (Rachelle) Lacattiva, sisters Catherine and Ann, brother Jim, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Mary was also blessed with the lifelong friendship of Mary Ann and Jim Pease.
My mother worked with Mary for many years and then I had the privilege to work with her while she was at Liberty Manor. She was the type of person I could go to for anything. She actually told me to pursue my dream to be a nurse. Mary will be missed and it is such a shame for her loss. I miss her so much. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Mark,
I am very sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I think I met your Mom once, when we were in high school. I was in your neighborhood and you wanted to show me your new CD player. (you were the first to get everything!! The rest of us had cassettes or 8 tracks!) You and your friends were always fun to be around. Keep your memories close and may the love surround you and bring you peace.
Mary was a kind hearted lady, just the type you would want to have as your nurse. I worked with Mary in her various roles in the community, and enjoyed her comradery immensely. She was a great lady and will be sorely missed.
Mark I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother and we send our prayers to you and the rest of the family. Your mother will watch over you from Heaven I am sure. Gods Blessings to you.
Thank you all so very much for your kind words and thoughts!
Until now, I guess I never really understood how important the support of others can be in situations like this.
Blessings to you and your families too!
Mark,

Having Mark for a best friend, I spent many days in his household, and was lucky enough to get to know Mary. She always had a warm smile and a kind word for me. I reflect on that when my own children bring friends home. Thank you, Mary. My condolences to the family.

Dear Family of Mary
I am saddened to see that Mary has left us. My condolences to your family. I worked with Mary at Home Health here in Friendship and she was also my teacher when I studied to become a Home Health Aide some years ago. Mary was a great teacher, a wonderful loving and caring nurse and a joy to work with at H.H.. I have many wonderful memories of Mary and will always remember her fondly. May God wrap his arms around your family and bring you all comfort and peace during this difficult time.
