Matthew Pollitt

Matthew Mitchell Pollitt, 49, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 24, 1975, in Libertyville, Illinois to Thomas Elmer and Candace (Darnell) Pollitt, Matthew spent his early years in Illinois before settling in Grand Marsh in 2000. A dedicated electrician, he worked for many years at Brakebush.

On July 16, 2022, Matthew married the love of his life, Jennifer, in a beautiful ceremony at Durward Glen in Baraboo. He had a passion for Harleys, camping, golfing, and gardening, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Pollitt; his grandparents; and his brothers, Douglas and Daniel Pollitt.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer; his daughters, Caitlin and Madison Pollitt; his mother, Candace (Jerry) Darnell; his brothers, David (Rhonda) Pollitt and Joel Pollitt; nieces Carissa, Carlie, and Daniell Pollitt; nephews Douglas, Joseph, and Robert Pollitt; and dear friends Marty (Deb) Freese. He is also fondly remembered by several great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.

A celebration of life is planned for later date. Detail to follow as plans are finalized.
