Max Earl Evans

Max Earl Evans, age 86, of Westfield, Wisconsin died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Roseberry’s
Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. Marty Nolet will officiate. Military honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Friends may call at Roseberrys on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Max was born June 03, 1924 in Oxford, Wisconsin to Thomas J. and Alta (Shad) Evans. He married Lorraine Margetts on May 12, 1945 in Baraboo, Wisconsin. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army in Italy. Max worked as a mechanic in Wisconsin Dells for 21 years before becoming the owner of Maxs Garage in Cecil, Wisconsin. Max retired in 1988 after running his own business for 22 years. That same year he and his wife retired to the Wisconsin Dells area.

Max enjoyed fishing, working, farming, and especially hunting.

Max was a member of the NRA, Wisconsin Dells VFW, and Wisconsin Dells Trap Club.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Alta Evans; wife, Lorraine Evans; and brother, Orville Evans.
