Melissa A. Gutierrez
Melissa A. Gutierrez, age 44, 8880 Blue Island passed away suddenly on Monday, October 14, 2024, in Friendship, WI due to complications of pneumonia and Sjogren Syndrome.
She is survived by her son, Shawn Jozef Dyer; parents, Robert S. Gutierrez Jr. & Mary Ann (Bednarz) Gutierrez; brother, Robert S. Gutierrez III (Grace); sister, Amanda (Jon) Murzyn; niece, Brissa Murzyn; nephew, L.J. Murzyn; best friends, Michelle Post & Amy Stalsberg, and Shawns father, Dan Dyer.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Helena (Giza) Bednarz, and grandfather, Jozef Bednarz.
Melissa worked as a caregiver at Friendship House West. She loved her clients, and they loved her. She enjoyed this line of work for at least 10 years. It was her calling in life.
She was a wonderful mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt. Her son Shawn was her miracle baby. She was grateful to finally become a mom, and she was the best mom to him.
She had a fantastic sense of humor and would make everyone laugh. She was caring, giving, kind, and supportive of anyone who needed her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Cremation will be private. The family will have a celebration of life on 8/8/2025, that would have been her 45th birthday.
