Nancy was born August 9, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Gerald and Frieda (Yakel) Jewson. Nancy married the love of her life Bernard McCaffery on October 10, 1959, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. They lived in Waukesha and Eagle before moving to New Lisbon in 1980. Nancy was a homemaker for many years before joining the workplace. She found her passion as a nursing assistant for over 35 years. She thrived helping others, whether it was in the workplace or in her personal life. Nancy was a longtime member of the Lioness Club earning Lioness Queen in 1994-1995. She also helped run the Necedah Food Pantry for many years. Nancy retired in 2009 as she courageously battled cancer and won. Once in remission, Nancy again returned to working as a nursing assistant, retiring again in 2015 to care for her beloved husband at home. Nancy, never one to sit still, again returned to the workplace for Kwik Trip in 2018. Nancy loved animals, lovingly referred to as the crazy cat lady. She was a one of a kind, warm smile, listening ear, and a rare beautiful soul, loved by all who had the chance to meet her. Nancy loved to laugh, spend time with her friends and family, taking care of her cats, working in her yard, and going to garage sales. Nancy’s family was the most important thing to her and would do anything for anyone.
