Norbert "Norby" Nawrot

Norbert "Norby" S. Nawrot, age 79, of Adams, Wisconsin died Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. T. Christian Nelson will officiate. Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery, Town of Quincy, Adams County, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be at Roseberry’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 10th, from 9 a.m. until the time of service.  

Norby was born May 12, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to John Louis and Hattie (Grube) Nawrot. He lived in Palatine, IL before moving to Friendship, WI in 1954 with his father, brother and sister. He worked in construction, and farming.

Norby enjoyed hunting, fishing, pitching horseshoes, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Norby was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Hattie Nawrot; and his brothers: Edward and Leroy Nawrot.

Brother: Harry (Virginia) Nawrot of Friendship, Wisconsin
Sister: Evelyn Wikman of Friendship, Wisconsin
Sister: Barbara Nawrot of Adams, Wisconsin
Brother: James (Bonnie M.) Nawrot of Adams, Wisconsin
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, his favorite dog, Chester, and friends.

    Gonna Miss You Deeply Uncle Norby!! Thanks for all the memories throughout all the years growing up on the farm and teaching my brothers and I all about farming. I will never forget everything you did for all of us and the fun we all had! Pitching horseshoes, hunting, farming, taking a ride around the block with your dog Chester and a million other things. Those early mornings coming over whether it was to venture out on a spring turkey hunt or hitting the fields up with the tractors you always had that fresh pot of coffee brewing, and those memories will be forever remembered…
