Norma Jean Bittorf

Norma Jean Bittorf, age 89, of Marshfield, Wisconsin (formerly of Beloit and Big Flats) died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the St. Joseph’s Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Big Flats Community Church in Big Flats, Wisconsin. Rev. Milt Duntley will officiate. Interment will be at the Big Flats Cemetery, Town of Big Flats, Adams County, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Big Flats Community Church.

Jean was born May 8, 1920 in Jefferson, Iowa to Frank and Eva Gilroy. She married Edward Eugene Bittorf on August 27, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa. Working years were spent mostly in Beloit and retired to Big Flats area in 1979. A year after Edwards death she moved to Marshfield, WI where she lived at the Golden Living Center Three Oaks.

Jean enjoyed crafts, church work, fishing, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.

Jean was a member of Salvation Army Home League in Beloit and in later years the Big Flats Community Church Bible Studies.

Memorials may be directed to the Big Flats Community Church and the St. Josephs Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; sisters, Virginia, Bonnie & Betty; brother, Richard; and two great-grandsons.
