Norman R. Thrasher

Thrasher314_webNorman R. Thrasher, age 63, passed away suddenly at his home in Adams, Wisconsin early Saturday morning on December 21, 2013.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Interment will be at the South Arkdale Cemetery, Town of Strongs Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin.

Norman was born September 10, 1950 in Adams, Wisconsin to Norman and Esther (Sparby) Thrasher.

He married Susan Rhodes of Milwaukee, on April 1, 1971 in Adams, Wisconsin.

He considered his greatest accomplishments in life were his five children and five grandchildren. Jenni (Joel Melcher) Thrasher of Friendship, Jacob (Ashley) Thrasher of Mauston, Lucas Thrasher of Adams, Rebekah (Eric) Joslin and Kody Thrasher of Adams. His five grandchildren are Jillian Moscinski of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Jenna Joslin, Dustin Joslin of Adams, Lochlyn Thrasher of Mauston and Raina Joslin of Adams. His greatest joys in life were his children and grandchildren. His surviving sisters are Gloria (Charles) Stevens of Westfield and Patricia Solberg of Staunton Virginia. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Many years ago he worked at the Pallet factory and also at the Railroad Motel in Adams. He was a nurses aide at Villa Pines for several years. For the past nearly 15 years he worked as an aide and then a med tech at Liberty Manor in Adams.

He held family get-togethers on July 4th and Christmas Eve every year where he enjoyed doing all the cooking and having all his family close. It meant a great deal to him. He also enjoyed reading, drawing pictures with his grandkids and was a huge trivia and movie buff. His greatest past time was his computer, where he had a facebook page, rated #1 on Words With Friends, Adams County Democrat Page, Waking Sanity Page, also Administrator of the of the Cinematic and Literary Reviewer and made friends all over the world.

Norman loved well and was well loved for his generosity, unselfishness and altruistic spirit. He will be missed by many.
