Pamela Sue Runnels, age 71, of Arkdale, Wisconsin (formerly of Chicago), passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 30, 1953, in Du Quoin, Illinois, to Richard and Josephine Ruby (Elder) Galbraith, Pamela dedicated 13 years of service as a police officer with the Chicago Police Department. Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother and a cherished grandmother.

Pamela found happiness in simple pleasures—watching television, caring for her pets, playing scratch-off tickets, and spending precious time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Josephine Galbraith.

Pamela is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Butch) Tasior of Arkdale, WI; her son, Rick Jr. (Jennifer) Runnels of Tamaroa, IL; grandchildren, Albert Jr. (Lauren) Tasior of Baraboo, WI, Charligh Runnels of Tamaroa, IL, and Logan Runnels of Tamaroa, IL; sister, Vickie Aguirre-Martino of Chicago, IL; niece, April Elvidge; nephew, Joe Aguirre; along with great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends.

In honor of Pamela’s love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County Humane Society.

Per her wishes, no services are planned.

    So sorry for all of us .the memories I have of a little girl and a big sister reading me bedtime stories .The Xmas she let me play with her Barbie doll which was brand new probably the first All the books I had she read them all to me even if she didn’t want to .She will be missed R.I.P .My sister ♥️
