Patsy Irene Chavez, age 54, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin died Friday, April 27, 2007 at the HospiceCare Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 01, 2007 at the Jim Monroe residence (786C May Street Adams, WI). Pastor Sam Downey will officiate.   Friends may call at the Monroe Home next to the pond from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
Patsy was born November 15, 1952 in Wild Rose, Wisconsin to Hubert and Belva (Heidger) Monroe.  She graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1970.  Patsy earned a B.S. from UW Madison in 1974.  She traveled to Guam, where she met her husband Albert Chavez.  They were married July 8, 1977 in Guam, they traveled extensively living in Japan for 3 years, where their daughter Elena was born, and then lived in Italy for 3 years before returning to the states.  After retirement from the military, they moved to Sun Prairie.  They enrolled at UW Madison where they each earn a B.F.A and then went on to Graduate School where they each earned their Masters of Fine Art Degree.
Patsy enjoyed the pursuit of education, learning and knowledge, arts, ceramics, painting, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.  She especially enjoyed spending time her granddaughters, Destiny and Amity. 
Patsy was preceded in death by her Father, Hubert Monroe.
